Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Business (Year 1):

 The Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Business aims to provide students with an understanding of accounting and business in a broader context and the practical skills necessary to manage finances, budgets, and cash flow effectively, contributing to business growth. The course combines theoretical and practical knowledge in areas like academic and research skills, business and economic environment, quantitative methods, financial accounting, management accounting, and leading and managing teams. Entry Requirements: The UK Qualifications certifications are available to students above 18 years of age. To enroll, students are expected to have at least one of the following: a Level 3 program in a related field or GCE Advanced level in two subjects or equivalent.

To obtain the UK Qualifications Level 4 certification in Accounting and Finance, students must complete 6 mandatory modules totaling 120 credits, 1200 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT), and 600 hours of guided learning (GLH). The modules cover Principles of Financial Accounting, Business and the Economic Environment, Academic Writing and Research Skills, Management Accounting, Leading and Managing Teams, and Quantitative Methods in a Business Context.

Progressions: Successful completion of the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Business offers students academic progression opportunities, including advancement to the Level 5 in Accounting and Business. The diploma has been designed for career progression and professional recognition and is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), allowing students to directly enter Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree program.

This diploma program focuses on the crucial role of accounting and finance in the success of any business. The aim of the Level 5 Diploma in Accounting & Business is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a middle manager in an organization, responsible for areas such as business strategy, financial management, financial reporting, financial planning and control, and human resource management. Additionally, students will learn about starting a business and developing a business plan.
